Susquehanna University Sales Competition
Susquehanna University will host their 4th Annual High School Sales Competition on Monday, March 3, 2025. Check out the link here: www.susqu.edu/high-school-sales-competition. The registration deadline is 2/14/25, but space is limited.
We will once again offer free registration, cash prizes, scholarships, and tours and workshops for students and teachers. Knoebels Amusement Resort will be the brand new product sponsor this year, providing free all-day ride passes to all competitors.
York College of Pennsylvania Wants to Help Your School and Your Classroom!
Graham School of Business at York College of Pennsylvania wants to be involved in your classroom! We have a wonderful array of undergrad business majors ranging from Marketing to Accounting, Cybersecurity to Sport Management, Supply Chain to Finance, and many more. Our faculty enthusiastically support K-12 educators in many ways, including:
1) guest speaking (in-person or Zoom);
2) "College in the High School" (York College credits for your business classes); and
3) special events on campus.
In addition, you personally might be interested in our Career Academy that offers online, asynchronous industry certifications in areas business educators may find useful (social media marketing, cybersecurity, etc.). Think creatively and solves problems. Skills required include listening, oral and written communications, organization and teaching. Pay Rate: $56,083-$90,959 (based on highest earned degree and years of experience)

3-Credit Intro CourseWe are again partnering with Outlier.org to offer a 3-credit, completely virtual, asynchronous Intro to Accounting course through the University of Pittsburgh. The PICPA covers all costs for this dual-enrollment opportunity.
Participating schools will need to designate a support person to direct students by proctoring exams and ensuring they follow the course timeline. No accounting expertise is required—students and staff will have access to 24/7 virtual tutoring and support through Outlier.org.

From our Friends at NBEA—Request for Proposal (RFP) for Virtual Professional Development Sessions

Proposal Submission Deadline: March 6, 2025
1. Introduction
The National Business Education Association (NBEA) is seeking proposals from qualified educators, consultants, and industry professionals to develop and deliver virtual professional development sessions for secondary and post-secondary business educators.
NBEA is committed to providing high-quality professional development opportunities that enhance teaching effectiveness and engage educators with current and relevant business education topics.
2. Scope of Work
NBEA seeks proposals for up to six (6) virtual professional development sessions, each lasting 50 minutes. Each session should:
· Cover relevant topics in high school and university business education (see suggested topics below).
· Include a compelling title and description that clearly conveys the session’s focus.
· Outline at least two learning objectives (e.g., “After this session, the attendee will…”).
· Be delivered virtually in an engaging and interactive format.
· Allow for participant Q&A within the 50-60 minute timeframe.
Potential Session Topics
NBEA welcomes proposals covering a variety of business education topics, including but not limited to:
· Business-related teaching strategies and methods (CTSO integration, PBL, and more)
· Emerging Technologies in Business Education (AI, blockchain, fintech, automation)
· Entrepreneurship and Innovation (startup culture, design thinking, business modeling)
· Financial Literacy and Personal Finance Education (investing, credit, budgeting)
· Ethical Decision-Making in Business (corporate social responsibility, sustainability)
· Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Business Education
· Teaching Business Law and Ethics (real-world applications, contracts, intellectual property)
· Marketing and Social Media Strategies for Business Education
· Effective Online Teaching Strategies for Business Courses
· Integrating Data Analytics and Business Intelligence into Curriculum
· Best Practices for Teaching Accounting and Finance
· Global Business Trends and International Trade
Presenters may propose additional topics relevant to today’s business education landscape.
3. Budget & Compensation
NBEA has allocated a budget of $150 to $200 per session. Compensation will be determined based on session quality, expertise, and alignment with NBEA’s needs. NBEA provides all registration and Zoom delivery tools. The presenter only has to deliver the session and must be familiar with delivering quality experiences in Zoom.
4. Presenter Qualifications & Performance Expectations
· Presenters should have expertise in business education and experience delivering virtual professional development.
· A strong preference will be given to individuals with prior experience presenting to educators at the secondary or post-secondary levels.
· Session evaluations must achieve a minimum cumulative rating of 4.2 out of 5 stars.
5. Proposal Requirements
Interested presenters must submit a proposal including:
· Session Titles & Descriptions for each of the six presentations (clearly conveying the topic and relevance).
· Two or More Learning Objectives per presentation (stating what attendees will learn or be able to do).
· Presenter Bio & Qualifications (including relevant experience in business education).
· Proposed Session Format & Engagement Strategies (how the session will be structured and interactive).
· Past Presentation Experience, NBEA activity, & References (if applicable).
6. Evaluation Criteria
Proposals will be evaluated based on:
· Relevance and quality of the proposed session content (30%)
· Presenter expertise and experience (30%)
· Clarity and engagement of session format (20%)
· Cost-effectiveness within budget constraints (10%)
· Past performance/NBEA membership or activity in professional development settings (10%)
7. Submission Instructions
All proposals must be submitted by midnight March 6, 2025 to ExecutiveDirector@nbea.org with the subject line: “Proposal for NBEA Virtual PD Session”.

8. Selection Process & Timeline
· Proposal Deadline: March 6, 2025
· Selection Notification: The week of March 10th
· Session Delivery Period: Six sessions delivered over three to four months. Between April, May, June, and August 2025
NBEA reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal and may negotiate modifications as necessary.
